Description
Chaos Space Marines got cut off from modern (such as it were) Imperial technology when they rebelled, and those lucky to have had jet packs quickly realized the advantage they had, and went and made their OWN cult. With blackjack! And hookers!
Mostly though the Chaos Raptors had really cool armor. Marvelously gothic and archaic -- beautifully accentuated with the stock painted mini shown in the rules books and packaging and whatnot-- and ambiguous as to whether a normal human (well, normal super-human) could even wear the suit. And all without slapping on obvious signs of Chaos mutations. Even the most normal-looking Raptor, the one who appears to be not wearing a helmet, turns out to be wearing some poor bastard's face as a grisly mask! GAH!!
Of course the models have since been updated, and everything that made them cool got toned down or flat out eliminated. Bah.
