ANI:Pangabans + the Gunja Wave by Monster-Man-08 ANI:Pangabans + the Gunja Wave by Monster-Man-08
In-fiction fictional races, the Pangabans and the Gunja Wave were part of a Ketran video game where players try to create victorious alien species with the minimal mount of effort. In this round, the Pangaban player decided to open up the otherwise cloud-covered sky to inspire the Pangabans, which ultimately told their Gunja Wave neighbors there was food on their world.

i like the three pupils of each Pangaban's eyes, and a ketran video game is like a dangerous version of Spore.

Same genre (life simulator), but exact opposite gameplay. This game gave you preset aliens/planets (but didn't limit you to a certain script), you make exactly one 'move' (an edit to some attribute somewhere, be it the creatures themselves or the weather or some such; the goal was to win with the least number of edits), and then you just watch what happens. And it had multiplayer, which may have been it's only mode.

It's simply short for "Animorphs", there wasn't enough space for the whole word.

The way the book describes the games they played makes it sound a lot like the Spore computer game!

I love how much is packed into this picture. With the Pangaban and its newly invented hunting spear, the fauna and flora of the moon, the main planet and stars through the clouds, and finally, the Gunja Wave spaceship landing in the boggy swamp.

Great job!

And every year I would make sure the Gunja Wave had a clear view of their neighboring planet.

They looked onto the Pangaban homeworld for centuries, with one clear goal in mind:

They wanted to eat those guys.

-End game-

P.S. MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE RANDOMLY BROADCASTED THAT STUFF INTO THE STARS WITHOUT CONTEXT HUH?

P.P.S. Probably shouldn't have evolved away their flying abilities either. That would have been handy when the Gunja Wave came.

P.P.P.S. Sorry about all this, I shall try to organize all my thoughts at once next time. But Father was one of the more interesting beings Applegate ever wrote about. I just wish the Pemalites and Chee had been fleshed out more.

Have you read the Animorphs series?

It's kind of hard to forget the Chee and their creators, the Pemalites.

They're even mentioned as a creation of the Ellimist.
