There's Something Down There

Some odd hero concept that popped up in my head, a trapdoor spider-human who hides in sewer manholes until a criminal comes into view. While he'd be quick at apprehending crooks, he's really only limited to catching them in the streets. And only if they happen to commit crime near a manhole.
