Description
Another bit of Jurassic Park fanartery.
The Pteranodons that escaped from Isla Sorna ("Site B") set up a new nest somewhere on the mainland, and since they face no natural predators their population explodes. However the prehistoric beasts have an incredibly limited genepool --made all the worse since the original animals were effectively clones of each other-- and their offspring are plagued by birth defects. Still a rare few manage to cling on, taking full advantage of how the local wildlife (and not-so-wild life) doesn't know how to react to them.

I love the concept of this. Buncha Pteranodon specimens escape and get into the whole recycling symbol family tree situation. Then get kronenberged due to the exact reason their gene pool wasn't really much of a gene pool, more of a gene slurry. They then went on to survive purely on the fact that when they hunt, animals simply don't know what to do during an encounter. Kind of wishing you could explore this idea but with other dinosaurs, I don't know I just like mutated dinosaurs lol.
