Great Old Ones by Monster-Man-08 Great Old Ones by Monster-Man-08
(I suppose it's more like Great Old Fifty-Six)

Anyway, 56 of the alien deities locked away throughout the galaxy, worshipped by deranged cults. Mostly based on the descriptions on Wikipedia, though I think I may have been too literal. Great for getting used to using a tablet =D

Merry Holidays

Nice bunch of eldritch cuties. It's nice that you have introduced some more obscure Old Ones (like Cynothoglys and Q'yth-Az) that I otherwise wouldn't know about, and you drawed some fair representations of these (I especially like the nudibranch version of Gloon). As for specific Old Ones:
The blue whale with tentacles appears to Ghisguth. I love the idea of an Old One that is a whale, but I wonder what made you to decide making his design a whale? From what I read, the few descriptions there is of him say that he is a blob of jelly. However, the tentacle-whale is cool anyway.
Glaaki's designs is very unique here; I appreciate it's hump-like shape and that it appears to have an exposed spinal cord instead of a shell.
Regarding Gol-goroth the toad with an impossibly malvolent glare, I have seen some representations of it and none of them are so unsettling and creepy like yours. Despite the simple design and cartoonish facial proportions, those featureless eyes just oozes ominousness.
Besides Gloon, my absolute favourite here is X'chll'at-aa for being an immaterial 6-limbed embryo but having an solid nautilus-like outline. That is a perfect design for an eldritch that is an embryo.

Regarding some of these obscure Old Ones, its hard for me to think that there will be original design-interpretations that can be as cool as yours. So I wonder if I could "borrow" the basic shapes of some of your designs when I make my own Great Old One designs? Especially Basatan, Gloon, Ghisguth, Gol-goroth and X'chll'at-aa, I promise that I give you credit when I post Great Old One design influenced by yours :).

Now do the outer gods. One was a sea of silver, with giant tentacles jutting out of it, each tipped with a head and a face locked in agony...I want to see how you do that, because all I see is the blobby one here in the upper right.

I can name a few of them, but not all. Hastur, C'thugha, Cyaegha, C'thulhu, Aphoom-Za, Eihort, Y'golonac, and Bokrug. Those are the ones I can name off of the top of my head.

I can identify Aphoom-Zhah, Cthugha, and Cthulhu. I don't presently know any othersd by their appearance. However, I recently started reading the Complete Fiction of H.P. Lovecraft, so I'll be working on that. ;)

awsome stuff.
while i like the forms of the other old ones that people came up with after H.P's, i avoid like the plauge any books that feature them, the writers having forced their own morals onto a totaly amoral pantheon. (not to mention the attempts to explaine exatctly what the old ones are.)
And who ever invented the elephant man should be arrested for crimes against imagination..

Oh, one other thing: For those that can't be arsed to go to Wikipedia, it's from left to right:
Aphoom-Zhah, Arwassa, Atlach-Nacha, Baoht Z'uqqa-Mogg, Bokrug, Bugg-Shash (BTW, he's meant to be black), Byatis, Chaugnar Faugn, Cthugha, Cthulhu (Ia! Ftaghn!), Cthylla, Cyaegha, Cynothoglys, the Dweller in the Gulf, Eihort, Father Dagon, Mother Hydra, Ghadamon, Ghatanothoa, Ghisguth, Glaaki, Ghluun, Gol-Goroth (by the way, you captured his evil glare perfectly), Hziulquoigmnzhah (I love the head! Also, where's Hastur?), Iod, Ithaqua, Juk-Shabb (for a second, I thought it was Yog-Sothoth!), M'nagalah the Eternal, Mnomquah, Mordiggian, Nyogtha (what happened to Nug and Yeb?), Oorn, Othuum, Othuyeg, Quachil Uttaus, Q'yth-Az, Rhan-Tegoth, Rlim Shaikorth (Those eyes... You forgot Rhogog), Saa'itii, Sfatclillp, Shudde-M'ell, Summanus (see above comment for nitpick), Tsathoggua (needs to be chubbier), Vulthoom, the Worm that Gnaws in the Night, X'chll'at-aa (the pose reminds me of a paper Nautilus - that's a good thing), Y'golonac, Yibb-Tstll (see Summanus), Yig, Ythogtha (he actually has tentacles around his eye), Zathog (looks exactly how I imagined him, good work!), Zhar and Lloigor (why are they pink?), Zoth-Ommog (he has no legs!), Zuchequon and Zvilpoggua. You should try the creatures now! KUTAW!

Ia! Shub-Niggurath!

OMG, Zoth-Ommog has no legs! Gluuhn just looks odd. Also, yay! First Deviation I've ever seen that shows Yibb-Tstll! Just a little nitpick: Wikipedia got it wrong, Yibb-Tstll and Summanus wear cloaks. Yibb-Tstll wears a green cloak, and Summanus is a normal, albeit mouthless, human with tentacles coming out from under the cloak. Other than that... faved.

Ia! Shub-Niggurath!

The one casting the shadow is Mordiggian (and the shadow is actually Nyogtha), the embryo is X'chll'at-aa, the two purple tentacle balls are Zhar and Lloigor, and the clam is Oorn.

At least, according to Wikipedia they are...

The Worm that Gnaws in the Night is obliquely hinted at in the Pnakotic Fragments, but Eibon had to search for him with only the clue "Ask the Dweller in the
Pyramid". The Worm a.k.a. The Dweller gnaws eternally at the planet Shaggai, down to its core and the vast hole is capped with a 1000-mile high pyramid. The depraved beings of Shaggai invoked it, but could not command it or send it back, and so they imprisoned it this way, knowing that it was only a matter of time ere it ....

Summanus is known to wear a top hat and even travels by train ! Brian Lumley wrote "The Tuscan Rituals" in which the narrator relates what happened when he and a close-minded Christian acquaintance had to share a compartment with Summanus and an acolyte. Summanus enjoyed a meal -at their expense !
